‘ MY FLOWERS AND PLANTS’

‘The Sunflower is mine’ said Vincent van Gogh.
Well I’m no van Gogh but the flowers and plants here are really mine. I plant them, keep an eye on them, nurture them as they grow and I love them all.
I choose the best time to go out and collect my flowers or plants. Inside I begin, aiming to capture elements of their transient beauty. When happy with what I see, then I turn the image into a creation that is mine sometimes using mixed media in the background to repeat colours or build textures.
