Mná Nua na hÉireann (New Women of Ireland)
A solo exhibition of photographic works
25 July – 29 August, 2024
D’Lush Café, Wexford Arts Centre
Run in association with Wexford Camera Club
Wexford Arts Centre and D’lush Cafe are delighted to present a solo exhibition of work by photographer Philip Devereux. The exhibition titled Mná Nua na hÉireann, which means New Women of Ireland, paraphrases the famous statement made by former President of Ireland, Mrs. Mary Robinson.
Devereux says ‘Ireland has enjoyed the many new benefits of a developing multi-cultural and multi-racial society. These images feature women, not born in Ireland, but who have made our home their home too. The photographs serve to express my sincere gratitude for their contributions to Irish society with their wide-ranging talents, traditions and indeed their beauty.’
Based in Wexford, Philip Devereux’s studio is open to artistic and aesthetic collaborations. For further information contact philip@devereux.ie.
Mná Nua na hÉireann will run in D’lush Cafe at Wexford Arts Centre until Thursday 29th August. For further information on Wexford Camera Club, please click here.
